    Description: PWN is hosting a pre-conference for women living with HIV in the U.S.! Build a community, roadmap your activities, and advocate for women!
  2. Turning the Tide with Sisterhood, Solidarity, Action: AIDS 2012 Reception for Women’s Advocates
    When: 6:30pm-8pm
    Co-hosted with ATHENA Network, PWN, CHANGE, and the Women’s Networking Zone. By invite and RSVP only.
    Description: Network with women living with HIV and allies before the conference starts! Reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres and non-alcoholic drinks and cash bar! Short program at 7pm.

July 22 – Sunday

    Description: A space for women and advocates to share information, build community, and have fun! Stay tuned for the WNZ program.
  2. Satellite Session with Office on Women’s Health: Collaborating Across Borders to Enhance the Health of Women
    When: 9am – 11am
    Where: Main Conference, Mini Room 4
    Description: This session focuses on the impact of global and domestic federally-funded programs that address HIV prevention among women and girls of all races/ethnicities and sexual identities.

  3. Leadership and Skills-building Workshop: Speak Up! How to go viral… safely! Media and communications for change for people living with HIV

    Description: Led by people living with HIV and grassroots media experts. Practice public speaking, brainstorm a social media strategy, and develop a video blog to name a few activities. All delegates welcome.

  3. Mobilization!: Women Making Waves
    When: 11pm – 1pm
    Where: Join women from around the world and women’s advocates as we march to make waves! Meet at the DC Convention Center at 11am. Start marching at 12pm. Check out the Women’s Delegate Guide for a route map. Meet at Lafayette Park at 1pm. Women Making Waves is one of five feeder marches for the mass mobilization called We Can End AIDS.
    Description: We have the science to turn the tide against the epidemic. And women are making waves!

  3. Satellite Session: Choice Matters: Expanding the Method Mix of ARV-based Prevention in Women
    When: 6:30pm – 8:30pm
    Where: Main Conference, Mini Room 7
    Description: This session will take stock of the myriad of developments and events that have occurred since AIDS 2010, define today’s current landscape, and discuss what should happen–and must happen–over the next two years in the area of HIV prevention for women.
    Featuring: This session is organized by the Microbicide Trials Network, International Partnership for Microbicides and AVAC: Global Advocacy for HIV Prevention and features two PWN speakers: Dawn Averitt Bridge and Naina Khanna.
  4. An AIDS-free Generation? Not Without Women. A Capitol Hill Reception during AIDS 2012.
