Teresa Sullivan
Areas of expertise: intersection of HIV and incarceration, re-entry services, community organizing, linkage to care for hard to reach communities
Biography: Teresa Sullivan is a Steering Committee member of PWN and is the TEACH Outside Class Educator and Peer Support Specialist with Philadelphia FIGHT as the prison assistant. Teresa advocates for HIV positive persons who are in imprisoned in the Philadelphia Prison System (Philadelphia county jail system). Upon their release she helps plug them into the services that they need. Teresa also teaches for the TEACH Outside program, a five-week treatment education and activist training course for HIV persons recently release from prisons s and jails. Teresa is also a community organizer for the Support Center Prison Advocacy. Teresa spearheads outreach into communities most impacted by the crisis of mass imprisonment and helps organize neighborhoods level steering committee to address reentry needs. Teresa is also a fellow of the Black AIDS Institute Africa American HIV University.
