May 10, 2020

Dear PWN Family,

2020 has been quite the year so far, huh?

We know that this Mother’s Day may be different from last year or the year before for many of us. We may not be getting to spend the day with our kids or grandkids or our own mothers. On top of that, there has been an extraordinary amount of loss, hardship, and suffering in our communities over the past months.

Nonetheless, we want to celebrate all the amazing mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, godmothers, and petmothers living with HIV out there.

Women living with HIV aren’t just moms–we’re the BEST moms!

We’ve created a video tribute to all the moms living with HIV out there, featuring just a small handful of you. Watch it below!

And we’ve got more about mothers living with HIV for you!

Around Mother’s Day last year, we released the eighth video in our interactive #PWNCares series, Motherhood with HIV. In the short video, the fabulous Davina Conner and Kamaria Laffrey weigh in on what it’s like to be a mother living with HIV: the good, the tough, and the simply amazing.

You can watch it below–and click the button below the video to find a discussion guide and the recorded virtual coffee table chat with Davina, Kamaria, and Octavia Lewis from last year’s premiere.

Wherever you are and whatever you do today, we wish all the mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, godmothers, and petmothers a wonderful Mother’s Day. We see you, we love you, and we are here with you!

With lots of love, sisterhood, and solidarity,

Team PWN
