Time-sensitive update: Congress is gearing up to slash nearly $1 trillion from life-saving programs our communities need like food assistance, education, Medicaid all to hand out more tax breaks to billionaires and greedy corporations. We need you to take action now!
The U.S. Senate is preparing to vote on the budget reconciliation bill (officially named “One Big Beautiful Bill”) by the end of this week! But we know it’s actually One Big Ugly and Dangerous Disaster that puts our lives at risk.
Senators are still divided, which means our pressure can still influence the outcome!
→ Call your Senators today!! Tell them clearly: Vote NO on the reconciliation bill!

This bill is a violent attack on low-income, Black, brown, trans, disabled, immigrant, and working-class communities—and a direct attack on people living with HIV. Not on our watch! Probable timeline:
Right now, the Senate is in what’s called the “Byrd Bath,” to get rid of anything in the bill that’s not directly related to the budget. The Senate is still working through the parts of the bill that include healthcare and SNAP.
By the end of the week, the Senate is expected to vote before leaving for their July 4th recess, which begins Monday, June 30.
As early as next week, the bill will go back to the House to vote on changes made by the Senate.
